The Perfect Interiors Gift for Footballers…

What a time to launch a football-related product.  Great because of the heightened interest – but just another message trying to stand out from the noise!

When I started to develop Mount Footy as a business idea a couple of years ago I had no idea that the week I would launch my new interiors product would see such joy across the country because of ‘football coming home’.

But as the product started to become a reality during 2021, I had actually set July 2022 as my target to launch.  I knew it would coincide with the tournament being held here in England.

So, how better to celebrate the Lionesses’ success than with a Mount Footy to display your footballs – and a photo of the team, your heroine – or even of you and your mates celebrating!

A lot of non-footballing brands are now jumping on the bandwagon as they are at last understanding that a hell of a lot of women love football, whether playing it or watching it.  So that’s great for getting money into the women’s game.

I reckon I can stand tall and say – not only is my new business ‘all about football’ but I also have my own football credentials. I’m an ex-footballer myself, I played for women’s teams in London from 1983 – 2004, when it definitely was not ‘on trend’ and was still seen as unglamourous, eccentric or worse.  Women footballers in that era didn’t care – because we knew the magic of football and the joy and togetherness it brings.

England Lionesses winning the Euros in front of a sell-out 87k crowd at Wembley, is a day I definitely did not dream of, let alone launching my own design product, which celebrates football and all it means to people.

It’s coming home! Well we hope so! Writing this the day after England’s superb 4-0 victory over Sweden in the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Euros 2022.

A stunning, totally inspirational performance from a group of women at the peak of their game.  A proper ‘team’ performance, with everyone pulling their weight, each tackle won or decision made contributing to the win.

On a joyful day for English football, I’m really happy to announce ‘Mount Footy’ – my new interiors product for footballers!

It’s a stylish hanging unit to display your footballs, with a picture frame or decoration on the top to allow you to personalise it.  Choose from (at the moment) these colours of supporting laces:
