A note on the design of the mount footy – please read first

Please remember the units are for decorative purposes only and are not a toy.

• The unit is quite fragile and lightweight on purpose. The unit is designed to suspend up to three Size 2,3,4 or 5 footballs without further pressure being added.
• Because it is a decorative unit, we don’t recommend using a mount footy for children under 12. If the unit will be within reach of younger children, you should suspend using the ‘safety clasp’ at the top.
• The safety clasp will pop open if pressure is applied and the unit will collapse and spill out your balls! This is to ensure nothing becomes entangled in the hanging unit. Please note that the safety clasp once ‘snapped open’ will be more likely to open again. Every Mount Footy ordered has 2 clasps provided.
• Note that the rubber stoppers on the laces are not fixed, this is deliberate, so that you can ensure they are adjusted and horizontally levelled, once suspended.  It also means that you can move the shelves if you have smaller or larger size footballs, but still maintain an even gap.
• Anything heavier placed in them will cause the shelves to slip slowly down the laces and the shelves won’t work properly.
• The lightweight wooden tray that the balls sit on is designed to come out of the laces if the unit is handled roughly, this is a safety feature.
• The laces must NOT be tied at the base under the bottom shelf.  They should be tucked into the plastic ‘cable tidy’ clasps as they were when delivered.
